Investor interest in Turkey’s refractory sector remains high. On October 11, 2025, shares of leading manufacturer Haznedar Refrakter were trading at ₺ 4.46 on the Borsa Istanbul, reflecting continued confidence in the company’s performance and in the broader industrial outlook.

At the same time, Turkey continues to attract global refractory giants seeking strategic footholds in the region. Austrian-based RHI Magnesita has previously strengthened its presence in the country by becoming the main shareholder of Sörmaş Söğüt Refrakter Malzemeleri A.Ş.

Such investments underscore Turkey’s growing role as both a key production hub and a vital raw-material supplier — particularly for magnesite, an essential component in refractory manufacturing. With its established mining base, geographic proximity to Europe and the Middle East, and a dynamic domestic steel industry, Turkey is increasingly positioned as an indispensable link in the global refractory supply chain.
