October 2025 – Canada.

Whitemud Resources Inc. has announced a multi-year supply agreement for its proprietary product EnviroPozz™ metakaolin, marking an important commercial milestone for the Saskatchewan-based materials producer. The deal, signed with a Western Canada end-user, is set to begin with deliveries of up to 3,000 tonnes per year and includes an opportunity to scale output to 10,000 t/yr as market adoption grows.

The product will be sourced from Whitemud’s upgraded Gollier Creek facility, a kaolin mining and processing site located in southern Saskatchewan. Recent plant improvements are said to have enhanced calcination control and consistency, enabling the company to meet demanding performance specifications for low-carbon cementitious materials.

EnviroPozz™ is positioned as a high-reactivity supplementary cementitious material (SCM) for use in concrete, grouts, and well-cement applications, offering both durability and environmental benefits by partially replacing Portland cement. Management framed the contract as a strategic step toward establishing a stable domestic market for sustainable SCMs in Western Canada’s construction and infrastructure sectors.

“This agreement validates the quality of our product and underlines the growing recognition of metakaolin as a reliable path to decarbonize concrete,” the company said in its official update.

The announcement comes amid intensifying demand for regional SCM supply as fly-ash availability declines and provincial governments push for lower-carbon construction materials. Whitemud’s expanded production potential at Gollier Creek could thus position it as one of the few Canadian-based sources of calcined-kaolin pozzolans serving domestic markets.
